Passionate about property

It’s February, the month of passion and the perfect time to start thinking about what you want to do with the other great love of your life - your home.

Spring is one of the busiest seasons of the year for sales, so, like many others, if you are considering putting yours on the market, now is the time to start getting it ready. And, according to all the property portals, the market has already had a strong start to the year.

Don’t forget, though, winter can be hard on our homes so you may first need to lavish a bit of love on it. That means paying particular attention to items such as windows, which will need a clean and some fresh paint on any cracks in their frames.

There are also all those little repair jobs that often get overlooked, like replacing lightbulbs, stopping that tap dripping, fixing that kitchen cupboard that won’t close properly, or just giving a room quick freshen-up.
However, it all starts at the front with ‘kerb appeal’ and how to make those first impressions work. You’d be surprised at the number of studies that have found that even the colour of your front door can influence a potential buyer!

And, if you are a landlord, with supply levels rising and the market getting more competitive, you’ll need to make your properties sparkle just as brightly if you want to achieve top rent.
So, if you think you are thinking about making a move or just want an idea of the value of your home or its potential rent, why not give us a call and we will be happy to give it an appraisal as well as some ideas on how you could maximise its value.

Right, that’s it from me for now. If I don’t hear from you before, I will see you here, same time, same place, next month.
