Bishops Park Area Guide
The Bishops Park area is a hugely popular part of the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. It takes its name from Bishops Park itself, a large, pleasant stretch of greenery that’s packed with kids enjoying the ponds and playgrounds, joggers, fitness fanatics, Tai Chi enthusiasts and dog walkers (plus the occasional Fulham fan despairing at the club’s current form). There’s even a unique urban beach.
If the Park is the hub of the community, the area’s backdrop is the River, home to a extraordinary wealth of birdlife thanks to the London Wetlands Centre on the far bank. The residential area of Bishop’s Park stretches along the River and it’s not hard to see why this is such a popular place to raise a family. As well as the wide open spaces, there’s an unrivalled selection of top schools, both state and private. Close by is the Lycee, a primary and secondary school run by the French government which explains the area’s large French community and vibrant cultural feel.
Our opinion? Few areas in London that can boast such amazing facilities for young families. Bishops Park offers a unique quality of life.
