Now we’re past Valentine’s Day, it always seems like we are finally over the worst of the cold and dark days of winter and are heading into the joys of spring. However, let’s not rush too much, after all, this is the month of love and, for most of us, there’s more than one love in our lives! Yes, bricks and mortar have always had a special place in our hearts too!The spring market up-tick is just weeks away and if we are thinking of making the most of it and getting our property onto the market, those other loved ones may also in need of a bit of attention.
Winter takes a bit of a toll on our homes, especially the outside, and so it’s time to start looking at all those little repairs and improvements you can make to your property to make sure it sells for the best possible price.
And, as we approach spring, the outside becomes even more important than the inside. It’s the first thing a potential buyer will see and will set their mood as they view the rest of the place. You need to get this right if you want it to have that all important kerb appeal.
It doesn’t need to break the bank. Think of it as an investment rather than a cost – every penny you spend should bring a return. It might just be a matter of repainting some rusty old guttering or having a good sweep to remove the last of autumn’s leaves. It’s a bit early to be looking at doing any planting, but you can also give the grass a cut and cut back any dead plants.
If you would like a better idea of the kind of thing that could make an immediate difference, just give us a call and we can give you a steer in the right direction.
